Dakota State Fair
The North Dakota State Fair is held in July and is proudly hosted on the
fairgrounds in east Minot, which is also the venue for concerts, sports
events and conventions.

The Norsk Høstfest is held in October every year
in Minot, also on the fairgrounds. It is the biggest Scandinavian festival
in North America and draws crowds of tens of thousands.

Minot can be reached by air, road and rail. There is a daily service run by Northwest Airlines to the town and the Amtrak Empire Builder train stops at the railway station twice a day on its route between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Spokane. Highways 2, 52 and 83 intersect at the town.
